PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the concentration of dissolved oxygen in an electrolytic reduced water on the anode side is decreased, the concentration of dissolved hydrogen on the cathode side is increased, and the corrosion due to the oxidation of both electrodes in electrolysis, the increase in electrical resistance resulting from the corrosion and further the decline in reducing action are prevented. SOLUTION: This hydrogen-reduction electrolyzer consists of a cathode compartment having a cathode, an anode compartment having an anode and an electrolytic cell having both electrodes, and the inner periphery of the cell is coated with a noble metal-containing inorganic layer 10. Since the noble metal contained in the layer 10 acts as a catalyst, the reducing action of both electrodes is further promoted. |
