PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold for casting, in which lessened temperature difference between molten metal and the metal mold is set, based on the fact that heat emission from the molten metal to the metal mold is proportioned to their thermal conductivity, contacted area and temperature difference, producing high quality, precise casting with lower initial cost for the molding device and metal mold, even in case the product is large and thin. SOLUTION: In the metal mold, which molds melting metals, the metal mold consists of a base metal 4a, 5a and a plurality of layers facing cavity 3. The layer 7 is a heat transferring layer made of a material, which has better thermal conductivity than the base material 4a and 5a. A layer between the layer 7 and the base metal 4a, 5a is the layer 8 of less thermal conductivity to the base materials.
