PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven bicycle having no image that it looks like a heavy bicycle by giving the almost same appearance as an ordinary bicycle while actually having a light weight, and to provide the mounting structure of its battery capable of making it easy to mount the battery body to the bicycle and to carry out a maintenance work such as cleaning of the motor- driven bicycle even with the battery body mounted to the motor-driven bicycle. SOLUTION: In this motor-driven bicycle and the mounting structure of its battery, a battery unit 20 provided parallel to the longitudinal direction of a seat pipe 15 is mounted at a lower position than the one end 171 of a seat stay 17 connected to the vicinity of the upper part of the seat pipe 15, and is separated from the two seat stays 17 and a splash board for a rear wheel.
