PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a composite particle applicable to an electronic material, a magnetic material, an optical material, a pharmaceutical material, etc., due to possession of properties of both polymer and metal compound and a hollow particle applicable to a microcapsule material, an optical material, an opacifying material, etc. SOLUTION: This spherical polymer-metal compound composite particle comprises a core composed of a polymer and a shell composed of a metal compound selected from a yttrium compound, an aluminum compound, a zirconium compound and chromium compound and has 0.07 to 30μm particle diameter and a ratio of the inner diameter to the outer diameter of particle of 0.40-0.95. This method for producing the composite particle comprises forming a shell layer by using a hydrolysis reaction of hydrolyzable metal salt. This method for producing the hollow particle of spherical metal compound comprises forming a hole in the inside of the particle by heating the composite particle in an oxygen atmosphere at >=150 deg.C. |
