PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium which has an intermediate layer between a base material and a color ink layer, is good in coatability for intermediate layer ink and color ink layer ink, can form a printed image excellent in scratch resistance, and prevents defective transfer. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium has a non-transferable intermediate adhesive layer on the base material with a binder containing a resin as a main component, and the color ink layer is formed thereon. Modified silicone oil soluble with the resin is contained in the adhesive layer. |
