PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply continuously properly allocated and sufficient quantities of lubricating oil to bearings for supporting a small-diameter pinion gear and a large-diameter ring gear in rotatable fashion in a final reduction gear. SOLUTION: The final reduction gear comprises a small-diameter pinion gear 10, a large-diameter ring gear 20 designed for engagement with the small- diameter pinion gear, a housing 1 in which both gears are stored, first bearings 26a and 26b for supporting the large-diameter ring gear in rotatable fashion, and second bearings 15a and 15b for supporting the small-diameter pinion gear in rotatable fashion. A trough member 30 is disposed in the housing to receive part of the oil that is splashed up on the second bearings by the rotation of the large-diameter ring gear. A lubricating oil supply path 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b is delimited in the housing, with one end communicating with the first bearings and the other with the trough member.
