摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an immobilization method capable of bonding a DNA fragment separately prepared beforehand to the surface of a solid-phase carrier by a rapid reaction and making the reaction product stably maintain the bond and to obtain a DNA chip not especially requiring a blocking process. SOLUTION: This method for immobilizing the DNA fragment to the surface of solid-phase carrier is characterized in that a DNA fragment containing a functional group at a terminal end is brought into contact with a solid-phase carrier containing a functional group not to show reactivity with the functional group of the DNA fragment on the surface in the presence of a reactive reagent capable of being reacted with the functional group of the solid-phase carrier and converting the functional group to show reactivity with the terminal functional group of the DNA fragment so that the terminal function group of the DNA fragment is reacted with the functional group of the solid-phase carrier to form a covalent bond. This DNA chip is obtained by the method. This method for detecting a nucleic acid fragment having complementarity to the DNA fragment on the DNA chip uses the DNA chip.
