PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of improving the steering stability without substantially increasing weight of the tire, while ensuring the superior vibratory comfort in riding, and the low noise in a cabin. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire having at least a sheet of carcass ply rewound around a bead core mounted on a bead part, and the bead filler placed between a main body part and a rewound part of the carcass ply on the outer peripheral side of the bead core, a cord reinforcement layer having a spirally wound structure of at least one cord is formed in a radial area between the bead core and a rewinding end of the carcass play.
