PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a joint to receive the deformation corresponding to the maximum deformation to be applied to the joint during the operation for stabilizing an operating point of the joint supporting the load. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method of stabilizing the mechanical operation characteristic of an elastic flexible joint 1 acting as a spring in a suspension device of a vehicle. The deformation substantially corresponding to the predictable maximum deformation in the actual use, is applied to the joint 1 in advance before it is used.
