PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an eyeglass end cover by which the eyeglass end cover can be prepared in a remarkably labor-saving way. SOLUTION: An original mold 3 for the end cove with a specified shape is formed by pinching a thermoplastic synthetic resin material under a plasticized condition by means for a pair of up and down molds 1 and 1 provided with a cutting edge 11 on the outer edge of a cavity and performing clamping of the molds in the cavity while the synthetic resin material being cut by the cutting edge 11 of this mold 1 and then, under the condition where it is pinched by means of a pair of these molds, an inset mold 4 is pressed into a small opening of the original mold 3 for the end cover and then, by pulling out this insert mold 4, an inserting hole 31 into which an eyeglass temple is inserted is opened in the original mold 3 for the end cover.
