PURPOSE: A device for controlling an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) power of a folder type mobile communication terminal is provided to reduce a power consumption of a battery when a folder is folded, and to improve a using standby time of the battery. CONSTITUTION: The first switching unit(100) performs on/off switching operations according as a folder is opened or closed. A controller(200) receives switching signals transmitted from the first switching unit(100), and outputs on/off control signals corresponding to the switching signals. The second switching unit(300) receives the on/off control signals, and controls a power applied to an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) screen from a battery.
