PURPOSE: Provided is a lump charcoal having outer grooves, which can be ignited fast and can emit heat stably by extending the contact area between an ignition source and the lump charcoal by the grooves. CONSTITUTION: The lump charcoal(7) is formed by mixing and compressing coal powder or charcoal powder and optionally an adhesive or an ignition agent in the shape of a bar or a shell and has grooves(1) formed on the outside of the lump charcoal(7). The outer grooves(1) have a larger angle than the perpendicular and have a semicircular shape or a sawtooth shape. |
