PURPOSE: A helical gear type wire stripper is provided to be capable of promoting a stripping process as well as being permanently used by converting a vertical motion of a handle into a horizontal motion of stripping edges using the operating method of a helical gear to strip the wire. CONSTITUTION: The stripper comprises a stripping part(10), an operating part(30) and a handle part(50). The stripping part(10) consists of upper/lower stripping assemblies(11,21) contacted to each other with being rotated about a hinge(40), and horizontally moves the stripping assemblies(11,21) by a helical gear(27) converting a vertical motion into a horizontal motion to strip the wire. The operating part(30) transfers a vertical motion to the helical gear(27) of the stripping part(10). The handle part(50) adjusts the stripping part(10) and the operating part(30) about the hinge(40).
