LASER SCANNING UNIT CONTROLLER OF LASER BEAM PRINTER

PURPOSE: A laser scanning unit controller is provided to be mounted in a VLSI by obtaining a FIFO in use for controlling a transmission velocity of video data with a synchronous FIFO locked to a clock. CONSTITUTION: A memory(100) stores bit map data or video data externally received to be transmitted to an LSU(700). A DMA controller(200) transmits the video data in the memory(100) to a synchronous FIFO(300). The synchronous FIFO(300) temporarily stores the video data transmitted from the DMA controller(200) to temporarily store in a prearranged position. A transmission velocity adjusting block(400) adjusts a transmission velocity of data between the DMA controller(200) and the synchronous FIFO(300) and between the synchronous FIFO(300) and a shift register(500). A compensating block(500) compensates timing distortion of the synchronous FIFO(300). A shift register(600) sequences the video data for the LSU(700). The LSU(700) irradiates a laser beam according to the video data from the shift register(500).
