PURPOSE: A control system of a gas supply is provided to prevent a welding defect by detecting shielding gas. CONSTITUTION: A gas line for detecting (19) sticking a pressure detecting sensor (18) is connected with a welding control unit (20) in parallel with a gas supply switch wiring (21). An electronic pressure regulator (22) is connected with the welding control unit (20). A pressure switch (23) having a vertical operating range by pressure in an inlet line (15) of a welding torch (14) is interlocked with the welding control unit (20). A variable flux control valve (24) is installed in an outlet of a gas supply line (13). In generating a leakage in the supply line (13) or in a combining portion of the welding torch (14), gas pressure or flux of a gas supply source (10) is reduced. The gas pressure detecting sensor (18) detects the pressure under a predetermined value and transmits to the welding control unit (20). The welding control unit (20) generates an abnormal signal by interlocking with a pressure comparison circuit.
