PURPOSE: A connection structure between hermetic compressor and accumulator is provided to prevent refrigerant leakage and reduce manufacturing procedures and cost by improving structure of the suction assembly. CONSTITUTION: A suction assembly(70) for connecting a suction port(53) formed at a case(51) of the compressor and an outlet pipe(61) of an accumulator(60), includes a hollow adaptor section and a cylindrical pipe section extended from the adaptor section. The hollow adaptor section and the cylindrical pipe section are formed integrally. The suction assembly is manufactured by a press processing, and made up of steel. The suction assembly has inner and outer surfaces which are metal plated for weldability with the suction port and outlet pipe. The adaptor section of the suction assembly is fixed the suction port of the case through an electric resistance welding procedure(75). The cylindrical pipe section of the suction assembly is fixed to the outlet pipe of the accumulator through a lead welding(77). The adaptor section of the suction assembly has a suction pipe(55) for supplying the refrigerant introduced through the outlet pipe of the accumulator and the suction assembly into the compression chamber(P) of a cylinder(57).
