PURPOSE: A ceiling hideaway type air conditioner is provided to maintain the clean indoor air by eliminating some indoor bad smells or dust by discharging the indoor air outside and further to arrange a comfortable indoor environment by introducing a clean outdoor air indoors. CONSTITUTION: A main body(6) is connected with one side of an inlet duct(4) and an other side of an outlet duct(10). A heat exchanger(8) heats or cools the air introduced through the inlet duct(4), through which a blower(14) discharges the heated and cooled air to the outside. An outdoor air inlet means comprises a first switching valve(28) selectively opening and closing a first joint duct(18) connected between the main body(6) and the inlet duct(4), an outdoor air inlet duct(20) connected with an outdoor side extended from one side of the first joint duct(18), the first channel(22) where the first joint duct(18) and inlet duct(4) are connected and a second channel(24) where the outdoor air inlet duct(20) is connected. An indoor air outlet means comprises a second switching valve(44) selectively opening and closing a second joint duct(36) installed between the main body(6) and the outlet duct(10), an indoor outlet duct(38) connected to an outside extended from the second joint duct(36)side, a third channel(40) where the outlet duct(10) and the second joint duct(36) are connected and the fourth channel(42) where the second joint duct(36) and the indoor air outlet duct(38) are connected. |
