PURPOSE: The device for checking out the failure of the ADSIB(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Interface Board) is provided to exactly notify a block and data line, corresponding to the failure cause, to a user by mounting a channel loop back device in the ADSIB and conducting the loop back test of the data path. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a key input unit(1000), a CPU(2000), an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 25M interface(3000), an ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) modem(4000), and a board/line condition display unit(6000). The key input unit outputs a check-mode selection signal to the CPU when a user chooses a board/line condition check-mode. After receiving the check-mode selection signal and outputting a channel mode-mode control signal to the channel mode device, the CPU outputs the data for the ADSL test to a POTS(Plain Old Telephone Service) splitter(26) while outputting the data for the ATM test to the ATM interface(10). And then, the CPU checks the condition of each returned-returned data of the ATM and ADSL test, decides if the ATM interface, ADSL interface(20), and data line are out of order or not, and outputs a display control signal to the board/line condition display unit. The ATM 25M interface receives the data for the ATM test, transfers the data to the ADSL modem in 25Mbps(bit per second), and transfers the returned-returned data for the ATM test to the CPU again. The ADSL modem transfers the data for ATM test, output from the ATM 25M interface, to the ATM interface, and then transfer the returned-returned data for the ATM test to the ATM 25M interface again. The channel returned device, which is mounted between the ATM interface and the ADSL interface, converts the channel mode-mode control signal into the channel mode-mode. When receiving the data for the ATM test from the ATM interface, the channel mode device loop backs the data for the ATM test to the ATM interface again. Meanwhile, when receiving the data for the ADSL test from the ADSL interface, the channel mode device loop backs the data for the ADSL test to the ADSL interface again. After receiving the display control signal from the CPU, the board/line condition display unit shows the failure condition of the ATM interface, ADSL interface, and data line to the user.
