MAIN ROUTING DEVICE/METHOD FOR SUPPLYING OPTIMUM PATH IN ATM COMMUNICATION NETWORK HAVING LAYERED STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A main routing device/method for supplying an optimum path in an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) communication network having a layered structure are provided to re-establish a routing table by the change of a device initializing network aspect. CONSTITUTION: A routing table is configured and changed based on an established network aspect information, to initialize a routing device. If the routing device is initialized, a network aspect is changed based on a main routing table(3b) maintained by a main routing table management unit(3). A new path is supplied through the changed network aspect, to perform a routing service.
