PURPOSE: A device for automatically measuring coil shape is provided to more accurately and rapidly measure shape of coil material without discontinuation in transferring stripes. CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically measuring coil shape includes a first measuring part(20) and a second measuring part(40). The first measuring part has movable blocks(28a,28b) mounted on an inner end of an upper portion of movable bases(24a,24b) opposed to each other and moving along a guide rail(22) and first sensors(30a,30b) mounted on a side of the movable blocks and facing to each other, and measures a recurved shape of a coil material(10). The second measuring part has a guide bar(44) and a screw bar(46) mounted inside a frame(42) located in front of the first measuring part for moving first and second movable plates(48a,48b), second sensors(52a,52b) for measuring an onion shape(10b) of the material on the movable plates, a plurality of third sensors(54) for measuring a central wave shape(10c) of the coil material at upper and lower sides of a fixing plate(50), and a detection bar(56).
