METHOD FOR MODULATING PULSE WIDTH OF SPATIAL VOLTAGE VECTOR IN MULTILEVEL INVERTER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for modulating pulse width of spatial voltage vector in a multilevel inverter system is provided to be capable of simplifying calculation method to shorten execution time by calculating the appliance time and switching sequence of an output voltage vector using the same method as the pulse width modulation method of a general 2-level inverter. CONSTITUTION: First, a spatial voltage vector of n level in the multilevel inverter system is divided into spatial voltage vector regions of n-1 level. Then, it is detected that a voltage command vector belongs to which spatial voltage vector region of n-1 level. Next, a voltage vector appliance timing is calculated using the calculation method of the n-1 level spatial voltage vector on the basis of the center point of a region to which the voltage command vector belongs.
