METHOD FOR GENERATING DISPOSABLE PASSWORD AND RECORDER STORING PASSWORD

PURPOSE: A method for generating a disposable password and a recorder storing the password are provided to prevent a password of customer being exposed by illegal copy and generate a disposable password having unevenly improved security by generating inherent value of each cards on the basis of random numbers and inherent number of each cards and using the value to generate the disposable password. CONSTITUTION: A customer inputs a password of a card issued from a bank to use the card in an initial mode(101). A CPU(Central Processing Unit) of the card confirms whether or not the password inputted by the customer is equal to a password stored in a RAM(Random Access Memory)(103). If the password inputted is not equal to the password stored, the CPU requests the customer for reinput of the password. If password failure is repeated predetermined times(104), the CPU displays a message reporting lock of the card and deletes encoded random numbers stored in the RAM(105). If the password is correct and a challenge value transmitted from a server is inputted under a challenge-response method(106), the CPU generates a disposable password by using the challenge value, a decoded random numbers stored in the RAM and an encoded inherent number of EEPROM(Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory)(107).
