PURPOSE: A fruit and vegetable washing device is provided to eliminate foreign matters or pesticide from the skin of fruit or vegetables by an ultrasonic oscillator, and to clean fruit or vegetables by neutralizing and disinfecting hygienically with an ozone apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A fruit and vegetable washer is divided into an ultrasonic apparatus and an ozone apparatus. The ultrasonic apparatus eliminates foreign matters or pesticide from the skin of fruit or vegetables with activating the boundary surface between the foreign matters and the skin by an ultrasonic oscillator. The fruit and vegetable washing apparatus is composed of an S/W panel part(1), a power switch(2), a time set switch(3), a repetition number set switch(4), a manual/automatic selection switch(5), a water supply hose(6), a feed water valve(7), a water tank(8), a water level sensor(9), a full water level drainage(10), a washing basket(11), a drain valve(12), a drain pipe(13), an ultrasonic wave generating unit(14), an oscillator(15), an ozone generating unit(16), a pump(17), an ozone supply pipe(18), an ozone injector(19), and an ozone disinfection display unit(20). The washer minimizes noise from the ozone generating pump and the oscillator by a soundproof unit, and eliminates ozone smell with dissolving ozone by ultrasonic oscillating.
