PURPOSE: An optical fiber block for a tight coated optical fiber is provided to horizontal-arrange correctly a large-format optical fiber such as a tight coated optical fiber, while shortening a process time by minimizing an etched area and protecting the optical fiber from an external impact. CONSTITUTION: In an optical fiber block for a tight coated optical fiber, an under substrate(310) includes a clad slot(320) formed in one side thereon and a jacket slot(330) formed in alignment with the clad slot in the other side thereon. An upper substrate having a flat plate shape is attached to the one side of the upper plane of the under substrate. The upper substrate includes a substrate slot corresponding to the clad slot thereunder. The cross-section shapes of clad slot and the jacket slot are a V-shaped slot.
