PRODUCTION OF NYLON FIBER IMPROVED IN TRANSPARENCY AND MODIFICATION DEGREE

PURPOSE: A process for preparing nylon fiber by adding aliphatic alcohol and ethylenebisstearate to a nylon 6/66 copolymer is provided. Whereby the nylon fiber has improved transparency and modification degree as compared to conventional ones. CONSTITUTION: This nylon 6/66 fiber improved in modification degree and transparency is prepared by melting a nylon polymer composition comprising (A)98.8-99.9% by weight of a nylon 6/66 copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 98-70% by weight of ε-caprolactam and 2-30% by weight of hexamethylenediammoniumadiphate, (B)0.05-1.0% by weight of ethylenebisstearate and (C)0.05-0.2% by weight of aliphatic alcohol.
