PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a biting phenomenon of a worm mechanism part in the vicinity of the housing operation final point of a mirror. SOLUTION: This motor-driven housing device is provided with a mirror assembly 5 integrally collected with a mirror housing, a shaft 9 for rotatably supporting the mirror assembly 5, an electric motor 2 for bearing housing operation of the mirror assembly 5, a driving mechanism 3 for housing and unfolding the mirror assembly 5 by receiving motive power from the electric motor 2 and a control means 6 for checking the inflow of an overcurrent to the electric motor 2 and stopping operation of the electric motor 2 at the operation final point when housing and unfloding the mirror assembly 5 on the basis of the driving action of the driving mechanism 3. A spring 11 for imparting thrust reaction force via a ball 12 is arranged on a worm 31 for forming the driving mechanism 3 at the operation final point of the driving mechanism 3.
