<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tiltable parking brake lever operated in a conventional manner without special operation, with no change in appearance from a conventional brake lever but autonomously tilting in a braking state B to the extent of being easily discriminated from a non-braking state A. SOLUTION: In this tiltable parking brake lever, a pawl 4 is provided with a turn-over spring 16 for engaging the pawl 4 with a ratchet tooth 5 or releasing it. When an operating lever 1 is tilted relative to an actuating lever 2 in the braking state, the energizing direction of the turn-over spring 16 is changed over to a direction of releasing the pawl 4 from the ratchet tooth 5, to obtain a releasable state, thus permitting a shift into a release state without operating a special release mechanism (such as push button).</p> |
