PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and highly reliable ozone generating electrolytic cell. SOLUTION: A solid electrolyte membrane is held between an anode plate formed from a conductor permeable to air and water and a cathode plate, a lead dioxide layer is interposed between the anode plate and solid electrolyte, and a platinum layer is formed at least on the face of the anode plate in contact with the lead dioxide layer to constitute the electrolytic cell. In this case, a kneaded material of the powdery lead dioxide, PTFE dispersion and volatile dispersion medium is formed into a sheet, and the dispersion medium is volatilized in the atmosphere at <=100 deg.C to obtain dried sheet-shaped lead dioxide which is used to form the lead dioxide layer. |
