PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment machine for drying garbage and treating the dry kitchen waste so as to avoid putrefaction of the garbage. SOLUTION: This treatment machine is provided with: a drying chamber 9 for drying garbage; a rotary cutting blade for agitating the garbage in the drying chamber 9; a motor 14 for driving the rotary cutting blade; a heating/ drying means for supplying hot air to the drying chamber 9; a motor current detection unit 19 for detecting electric current passing through the motor 14; and a rotational direction switching unit 20 for reversing the rotational direction of the motor 14 when the detected current value transmitter from the motor current detection unit 19 exceeds a preset value. Thus, in the treatment machine, garbage is heated and dried by the hot air supplied from the heating/drying means and putrefaction of the garbage is hardly occures. Also, during the drying, the garbage is agitated by the rotary cutting blade to effect a high drying rate and lesser non uniformity in drying. Further, when any torque exceeding a preset value is applied to the rotary cutting blade, the application of such excessive torque is detected by the motor current detection unit 19 and the rotation of the rotary cutting blade is reversed to solve locking trouble of the rotary cutting blade. |
