PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having largely improved abrasion resistance without deteriorating the low exothermic property. SOLUTION: This rubber composition characterized by comprising a rubber component comprising at least one kind of rubber selected from natural rubber and dienic synthetic rubbers and carbon black which has a dibutyl phthalate(DBP) oil-absorbing amount of 140 to 170 ml/100 g, a coagulated product weight- average diameter (Dw)/number-average diameter (Dn) of 1.45 to 1.79, a specific tinting strength (Tint) represented by the expression: Tint>=0.133×nitrogen-absorbing specific surface area (N2SA+96, a nitrogen- absorbing specific surface area (N2SA) of 100 to 140 m2/g, and a nitrogen- absorbing specific surface area (N2SA)/iodine-absorbing amount (IA) ratio of 0.70 to 1.00. A mode containing the carbon black in an amount of 30 to 70 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component, or the like is preferable.
