<p>Stabilisation of ascorbic acid and its derivs. comprises polymerising a siloxane on the ascorbic acid (or deriv) particles to form a protective coating. Coating process is carried out at temps. of up to 150 deg.C., pref. using a 10-50 wt.% soln. of methyl siloxane in a volatile solvent. Stability against degradation by atm. oxygen and moisture.</p> |
