PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a display so that the sticking phenomenon generated by displaying a high luminance pattern on the screen of the display for a long time becomes to be inconspicuous with a simple correcting means with respect to a display that phosphors are used for luminescence. SOLUTION: The degraded pixel whose light emission luminance is lowered by the sticking phenomenon of a high luminance part is detected in a comparator 27 to be stored in an address memory 28 and light emission luminance of other pixels are matched to that of the degraded pixel by a correcting circuit 29.
