PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective glass structure which is optimum in use conditions of both of the daytime and the nighttime. SOLUTION: The composite glass 2 for protecting the field of view includes, successively from the inner side, i.e., from the eye side 1 toward the outer side, an optically polished first inorganic glass 3, a polarizing thin film 4 having two surfaces and an optically polished second inorganic glass 5. The polarizing thin film is a composite glass which is adhered to the first glass on its first surface and is adhered to the second glass on its second surface. The first glass having a thickness of about 1 mm is a high-pass filter of about 480 nm in its shielding wavelength and ahs a yellow base material. The polarizing thin film is so oriented as to weaken the rays which are reflected by a ground surface and return upward. The second glass is colorless. The first glass contains a light absorptive surface deposit 7 forming the thin film on the surface of the eye side. A decreasing central reflection piece 7 can be deposited on the outer surface of the composite glass. |
