PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera equipped with an automatic exposure controller capable of realizing photographing at a previously set exposure control value in a state where a photographer looks in a finder in the case of photographing in a state where the photographer releases his (her) eye from the finder. SOLUTION: A photoreflector 117 outputting a detection signal when the photographer looks in an eyepiece 115 is provided near the eyepiece 115. When the detection signal is outputted from the photoreflector 117, a CPU 11 executes photometry and AE arithmetic processing at specified intervals and stores obtained appropriate shutter speed and diaphragm value in a RAM 11b. When the detection signal is not outputted from the photoreflector 117, the CPU 11 inhibits the photometry, the AE arithmetic operation and the storage of the values in the RAM 11b. |
