PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a liquid crystal which can suppress deterioration in the quality of a displayed image in a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The color filter for a liquid crystal is obtained by forming a plurality of color resin regions R, G, B on a transparent substrate 11 and forming a resin spacer 1 on the base defined as the exposed surface of the color resin regions R, G, B or the coating layers 4, 3 covering the color resin regions. The dynamic hardness of the spacer 1 is set to be smaller than the dynamic hardness of the aforementioned base. Even when external force is added, the spacer 1 is not embedded in the base so that the cell gap in the liquid crystal display device can be maintained and that deterioration in the quality of the displayed image can be suppressed. |
