PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve required optical characteristics and durability of an optical device having one or more optical components such as light source, lens, etc., for the optical device and a method of manufacturing such improved optical devices. SOLUTION: The optical device is manufactured by inserting an adhesive composition containing an salicylic compound, a compound having oxetanyl group and an onium salt photoreaction initiator as much as the amount of catalyst between the optical component to form an adhesive layer of 0.05-5μm thick and hardening it with an active energy beam. The optical deice manufacturing method comprises a step of inserting the adhesive composition prepared to provided a viscosity of 10-1,000 mPa.sec or less at the room temperature and a contact angle of 40 deg. or less with the mount between the optical component and the mount, and a step of hardening the composition by UV rays, etc. |
