PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manufacturing yield of a positive electrode plate used for a spiral electrode body, with a positive electrode mixture layer, formed at least in the portion of a substrate of nickel foam, by holding, instead of welding a reinforcing tab on the exposed portion of the substrate at the end of the positive electrode plate. SOLUTION: This exposed portion at the end of the positive electrode plate is bent at least twice, and the tab formed of a band metal plate is held in the bent area, followed by pressing, so that the tab can be held in the bent area on the exposed portion of the substrate. |
