PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of stray capacitances in the panel of an electrooptical device and to simplify its manufacturing process. SOLUTION: A capacitor 280 is positioned between an FPC(flexible printed circuit) board 260 and a Y driver 250 and it is composed of the first conductive layer 222' formed in an island shape on the surface of an element substrate 200, the insulating layer 224' made by anodizing the first conductive layer 222' and the serial connection of first and second elements 280a, 280b in which second conductive layers 226', 226" formed on the upper surface of the layer 224' are laminated. Respective layers of these first conductive layer 222', the insulating layer 224' and the second conductive layers 226', 226" are respectively formed with same layers as those of the first conductor, the insulator and the second conductor of a TFT in a display area.
