<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable resistor where miniaturization (height reduction) is enabled by shortcircuitting a resistance member and durability is satisfactory. SOLUTION: This variable resistor is provided with a first insulating substrate 10 and a second insulating substrate 30, which are arranged in a state of facing each other, with at least one of which has elasticity. A belt-shaped resistance member 12 and a pair of wiring patterns 13 connected with both ends of the resistance member 12 are arranged on the first insulating substrate 10. A belt- shaped conductor 32 which faces the resistance member 12 keeping a prescribed gap and can be brought into contact with and released from the resistance member 12, and a conductor pattern 33, which is connected with the conductor 32 and electrically connected with the resistance member 12 are arranged on the second insulating substrate 30. The resistance member 12 is in free contact with the conductor 32 which faces the resistance member 12, while keeping a prescribed gap.</p> |
