PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it takes a long time to perform an arithmetic process and the correct answer rate of a discrimination result decreases since the arithmetic process for discrimination is carried out for all spectra outputted from a spectroscope without taking into account characteristics that an object of discrimination has. SOLUTION: Discriminating operation is performed by using a sensor signal outputted from a sensor and a weight coefficient stored in a memory and the discrimination result is outputted; and a predicted sensor signal is calculated back from a given discrimination state and the weight coefficient stored in the memory and a weight coefficient used for discrimination is calculated from an error between the predicted sensor signal and a signal showing a preferable discrimination state to correct the weight coefficient in the memory.
