PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component for a rectifier, having excellent general purpose properties and reducing the size of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: This electronic component 10 comprises FETs 21, 22 with the sources and drains connected to external terminals 12a to 12d, and an integrated circuit 23 for controlling to switch and connected at control signal output terminals 23a, 23b to be gates of the FETs 21, 22, at an output voltage input terminal 23c, a mode set signal input terminal 23d, a ground terminal 23e and a power terminal 23f connected to external terminals 12e to 12h, contained in a single package. In this case when used, a component responsive to a rectifying type to be formed is connected, and the operation mode of the integrated circuit 23 is switched and set to any of synchronous rectifying types such as step-down type, inverted type, step-up type or the like via the mode set terminal 12f.
