PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm type speaker that can simply be manufactured that enhances acoustic characteristics. SOLUTION: A diaphragm 2 of a speaker A is formed by forming a diaphragm body 21 with many ribs 25 radially extended in a state that a crest 21a and a dale 21b are continuously and alternately formed at an equally divided angular interval from a center hole formed at the center in a direction around the center hole, the height of each crest 21a is gradually decreased from the center hole toward the end radially, the ridges are formed as straight lines and the outer circumferential part of the diaphragm main body 21 is fitted to a frame 1 in a way that the body 21 is continuously fitted to the ridges and placed on the same plane.
