PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure, over an entire solid angle, the radiation characteristics of the antenna of a portable radio terminal with taking effects from human bodies into consideration. SOLUTION: The apparatus is comprised of a stage 101 held horizontally to the ground, a means for rotating the stage parallel to a horizontal plane, a mechanical power 103 connected to the rotating means, two non-metallic columns 104a and 104b set parallel to each other via a desired interval and disposed perpendicularly onto the stage, a non-metallic shaft 105 hung perpendicularly to the two columns, non-metallic rotary bearings 106 respectively fixed to the two columns, a human body phantom 107 fixed to a central part of the shaft, a means for transmitting a rotating driving force to the shaft, and a mechanical power connected to the means for transmitting the rotating driving force and arranged to the stage where the columns are fixed.
