PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven type shutter for a camera making a shutter blade perform stable actuation at the time of starting the actuation. SOLUTION: A bipolar permanent magnet rotor 4 can be reciprocatively rotated by a specified angle corresponding to the energizing direction to a stator coil 7. The shutter blades 16 and 17 are actuated to be opened/closed by the driving pin 4b of the rotor 4. Even when the coil 7 is not energized, a totally opened state and a closed state are maintained by attractive force acting between iron pins 9, 10, 11 and 12 by the magnetic force of the rotor 4. Since the pin 4b presses one end of a spring 15 and is separated from a spring hooking part 1d in the closed state, the energizing force of the spring 15 is applied until one end of the spring 15 comes in contact with the part 1d in the case of performing opening actuation, and hence starting performance in opening actuation is made suitable.
