Metallic conducting elements, pref. tubes, are contacted with an endothermically-foaming synthetic material (I) in the unfoamed state, pref. PVC with or without additives. (I) is then foamed to form an open-or closed-pore structure, opt. over another layer of synthetic material which improves the adhesion. Foamed (I) is protected by a closed surface layer or by wrapping in tube/bandage form. |
