LINEAR DRIVER FOR USE AS FURNITURE DRIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a linear driver arranged to be a furniture driver comprising at least one drive motor linked with a driven section movable linearly provided with a controllable brake element in which the casing is not required to be enlarged for a brake unit and the function of the brake unit is operated with no lag. SOLUTION: The furniture driver comprises a regulator in the form of a piezoelectric actuator 10 linked directly or indirectly with brake elements 11, 12 acting on the rotary shaft 13 of a drive motor. The piezoelectric actuator is advantageously connected with the electrical terminals 20, 21 of the drive motor. The linear driver is advantageously arranged to adjust a hurdle or an easy chair.
