PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller, that can simplify a configuration of a control circuit for an electromagnetic circuit breaker (airless LB) used for the main control circuit of an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: A relay for exciting an electromagnetic coil is provided in the inside of the airless LB, and the current consumption can be reduced by activating this relay by means of an external circuit. The electromagnetic coil requires a large current which is proportional to its resistance in the case of closing and a small current is sufficient for the holding current of the coil, after it is once closed. Thus, a chopper circuit is provided in series with the electromagnetic coil, to adjust a voltage applied to the electromagnetic coil. One small-sized enclosed relay is sufficient for the external control circuit, by incorporating a control circuit for the electromagnetic coil in the inside of the airless LB, and the configuration of the control circuit can be simplified by separating the power supply system into two systems as an on/off operating signal input to the LB and the exciting power supply of the electromagnetic coil.
