PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining device, which facilitates retaining work for a cable installed in the vertical direction, and enables cost reduction. SOLUTION: A retaining device is composed of a pair of left and right semicylindrical retaining bodies 11 and 12, whose respective one ends are connected turnably to each other with a shaft and whose respective other ends can be connected to each other. A retaining frame 14, fixed by an upper gate- shaped part 14a, is provided on the outer circumference of one retaining bodies 11 along the axis of the retaining body 11, so as to form an apparent tunnel shape. A tightening bolt 16 is screwed into the retaining frame 14. A long-hole 18, into which a connection bolt 22 is withdrawably inserted, is formed in one of connection parts 11b and 12b, provided on the respective other ends of the retaining elements 11 and 12 and an insertion hole 19 with a large diameter part 19a, through which a nut 21 screwed with the connection bolt 22 can pass, is formed in the other connection part. |
