PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size and weight by decreasing the number of electronic parts used for a substrate mounted with signal processing circuits, etc., for driving the panel section of an AC type PDP device and further decreasing the number of wirings between the substrate and the panel. SOLUTION: The driver IC to be exclusively of used which adapts itself to the driving of the panel section of the AC type PDP device and the memory to be exclusively used for the same are used and further, the driver IC is arranged at the outer edge of the panel.
