PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the vertical disk reproducing device of simple constitution, which can be placed on a small space. SOLUTION: An insertion port 2 in a vertical slit shape is formed in front of the device and disks 11a and 11b are horizontally inserted. The disks are made to abut on disk stoppers 61, 62 and 67 in positions which slightly exceed a centering position, and the disks are detached from the stoppers at the time of centering by a taper face 76 when a clamping mechanism 75 conducts clamping. The disk stoppers with small diameters recede from the transportation path of the disk in the large diameter by a disk detection means 13 when the disk in the large diameter is inserted. A drop preventing member 50 prevents the drop of the disk after transportation is completed.
